The “Work Preparation Programme” lasts between 6 and 13 weeks, during which time we not only seek job opportunities but also endeavour to find suitable work experience placements for participants. This helps to build confidence and learn new skills, whilst improving existing ones, in preparation for return to a working environment. Those participating in placements may be disadvantaged in a variety of ways, but often possess a diverse range of skills and experience which are able to be to utilised. It is hoped, and is generally the case, that time spent in a placement (usually between 4 and 6 weeks) is beneficial to all concerned.
